Amanda Booth is an experienced communications, marketing and public relations professional, who before setting up her consultancy in April 2007, has developed and honed her general management and business development skills in her role as a senior director for Keep Britain Tidy. Bolstered by an MBA from Henley Management College in 2001, Amanda has undertaken some key projects for Keep Britain Tidy, including setting up and developing a successful and influential regional office in the SW of England; devising a training and development strategy, writing a strategy for the management of home workers and undertaking a key piece of research for the organisation, which was published and launched at the House of Commons in December 2005.
Graduating from Bournemouth University in 1984 with a degree in English and Media, Amanda has had a variety of PR and Marketing roles spanning several fields, which have included airports, the entertainment industry, local government, mental health and the for the last 11 years, the environment. Whilst working in communications and PR, Amanda has focused on media relations, communications strategies during times of organisational change and communicating with hard to reach audiences.
This was further refined when she joined Keep Britain Tidy, when she devised and implemented campaigns and communication strategies targeting segments of the British population, with notable success in the youth market, targeting 13-16 year olds in Manchester with a cinema and bus back advertising campaign.
In 1998, Amanda embarked on an MBA with Henley Management College and combined her marketing and PR skills with a general management and business development role, setting up a regional office for Keep Britain Tidy in the South West in 1999.
Amanda is a Chartered Environmentalist and a member of the Institute of Public Relations. She has an eight year-old son and is based in Exeter.
